Evergreen Community School is a private,non-profit school in Santa Monica, California.

Our school is comprised of 60 students between the ages of 2.5 and 5.5. There are three classrooms, each facilitated by a team of three co-teachers.

We have designed an environment that encourages children to freely and creatively manipulate objects and ideas, our design choices emerging from our constructivist perspective.

Our program begins in September ends in June. We accept applications throughout the year. Please note that all parents or guardians must attend a school tour in order to be considered for admissions.

If you are applying for Fall 2022:  Please submit an application as soon as possible. Applicants be contacted for an admissions meeting. Families will be then be notified in late February regarding their child’s admission status for the 2022-23 school year.

For Fall 2023 and beyond:  You are welcome to attend our Prospective Parent Tour at any time. We accept applications throughout the year and will hold your application until your child is eligible for preschool.

While we usually host tours and conferences, we are currently offering online and in-person educator workshops. (We hope to resume our tours and conferences soon!)  The dialogues we have with educators outside our community serve to deepen our understanding of our own work as well as theirs. And our interaction as professionals with uniquely strong common interests leads to the establishment of a community network within which educators can learn and grow.
